How long does it take to get ranked?

How long it takes to get ranked in the search engines depends on several factors:

  • The Google PageRank of your domain name/homepage
  • How competitive the targeted keyword is
  • How relevant your actual page is compared to the keyword you want to rank for
  • The age of your domain name (the older the domain, the better)
  • The number of words that are in the keyphrase you're targeting (Example: "web hosting" will take much longer than targeting "chicago web hosting")

Note that the time it takes to get ranked can vary drastically from site to site. Ranking improvements can be seen in as little as two weeks and as long as six months. For really competitive keywords, we've seen Google ranking changes take up to nine months but this is the extreme - not the norm.

Here's the key thing to remember: RankPay works hard in doing a variety of things to increase your ability to get ranked in the search engines. However, when you get ranked is ultimately decided by the search engines themselves.
